Jordy Evan Sulaiman
Research Assistant Professor
Department of Health Technology & Informatics (HTI),
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)

Before joining PolyU, Jordy was a Research Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (2024-2025). Jordy did his postdoctoral training in the Venturelli group at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2022-2024), focusing on the bottom-up construction of synthetic human gut communities for therapeutic applications. Jordy received his B.Eng., M.Phil., and Ph.D. (advised by Prof. Henry Lam) in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in 2017, 2019, and 2022 respectively at HKUST. During his graduate studies, Jordy utilized proteomic approaches to study antibiotic tolerance and resistance of bacterial pathogens.
